A little-known fact: May is Salad Month in the United States. A celebration of fruits, veggies, and all things healthy living, National Salad Month is meant to encourage a diet that’s a bit more green for the duration of May. When one thinks of a “salad,” the first thing that usually comes to mind is a simple side salad, lifeless and featuring a few croutons for crunch. However, ‘healthy’ food doesn’t necessarily have to be tasteless. To help prove that, we’ve cherry-picked a few restaurants right here in Baton Rouge, LA near Cherry Creek. This is part one of a two-post feature of deliciously good-for-you foods that we’ll hope you’ll try out!
Sandwiches, salads, juices, pastries — it’s all homemade, healthy, organic, and non GMO at Magpie.
